Keep Your Eyes on the Lord

Have you ever felt distracted or overwhelmed by everything happening around you? Between work, school, and the pressures of life, it can be easy to lose focus. Yet in those moments, Psalm 16:8 gives us a beautiful reminder:“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

When our eyes are fixed on God, our hearts find stability. It doesn’t mean life will always be easy, but it does mean we can walk through every season with peace and confidence. God’s presence steadies us when circumstances try to shake us.

Worship That Recenters the Heart

A powerful song that captures this truth is “Move of God” by SEU. It’s a song that stirs faith and invites us to make space for God to move in our lives, our families, and our homes. Worship has a way of bringing our focus back to what truly matters—God’s presence.

When we sing words of faith, we’re not just singing lyrics—we’re aligning our hearts with truth. In the middle of uncertainty, worship reminds us that God is near, working even when we don’t see it. Let “Move of God” become more than a song this week; let it be your family’s prayer for God to work in every part of your lives.

You can listen to “Move of God” on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

Family Connection

Take time each day this week to talk as a family about keeping your eyes on God. Use one of these simple questions to start meaningful conversations:

  • What does it mean to keep our eyes always on the Lord?

  • How can we remember God is with us during hard times?

  • What are some things that try to distract us from focusing on God?

  • How does knowing God is “at our right hand” give us confidence?

  • When have you felt God’s presence helping you stand strong?

  • What can our family do to keep our eyes on the Lord each day?

  • How does trusting God help us not be “shaken” by fear or worry?

These questions can open the door for real conversations about faith, trust, and the ways God is working in your family’s story.

Prayer

“Lord, we need You to move in our lives and in our family. We desire for You to have Your way in our friendships, our plans, and our home. May Your will be done in every part of our lives. We love You, Lord. Amen.”
