God Has Been So Good

Have you ever had one of those weeks where everything felt a little uncertain, but then you noticed God’s hand quietly working behind the scenes? Maybe it was an unexpected blessing, a moment of peace, or a reminder that God really is taking care of you. When we pause to look back, we often realize, God has been so good.

Lamentations 3:25 says, “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him.”

What a comforting truth! Even in seasons of waiting or challenge, God’s goodness doesn’t disappear. It’s steady. It’s faithful. It meets us right where we are.

When we put our hope in the Lord, we’re choosing to trust His timing and His heart. To “seek” Him means to lean in, to pray, to read His Word, to look for His presence in our everyday moments. And as we do, we start to see how His goodness shows up over and over again.

Worship Together

A worship song that beautifully captures this truth is “Been So Good” (feat. Tiffany Hudson) by Elevation Worship.

You can listen to it on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music.

As you listen, take a moment to reflect as a family on how God has been good to you. The lyrics remind us that His faithfulness never runs out and that we can trust His goodness through every season.

Family Connection

Each day this week, take time to talk together as a family. Use one of these questions to spark conversation and help you see God’s hand in your lives:

  1. What are some ways you’ve seen God’s goodness in your life this week?

  2. What does it mean to put your hope in the Lord?

  3. How do we “seek” God as a family?

  4. Why do you think God wants us to wait and trust in Him?

  5. Can you remember a time when God was good to you even during something hard?

  6. How can we remind ourselves of God’s goodness when we feel discouraged?

  7. What is one way we can thank God for His goodness today?

These questions aren’t just for discussion, they’re invitations to slow down and recognize God’s fingerprints in your daily life.

A Family Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your goodness in our lives. Thank You for Your blessings and Your hand upon our family. We are grateful for how You love us. Thank You for Your forgiveness and Your faithfulness. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Final Encouragement

This week, keep your hearts open to the ways God shows His goodness. It might be through answered prayer, a quiet moment of peace, or even through someone’s kindness. The more we look for His goodness, the more we’ll see it.

As a family, let’s keep hoping, seeking, and trusting in the Lord, because He has been, and always will be, so good.
