Magnify the Lord Together

Life moves fast, and it’s easy for our attention to be pulled in a hundred different directions. Work, school, responsibilities, and worries can quietly grow bigger in our hearts than they should be. Psalm 34:3 gives us a simple but powerful invitation: “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together!”

To magnify the Lord doesn’t mean we make God bigger, He’s already great beyond measure. It means we choose to focus on Him, to make His goodness, faithfulness, and love larger in our hearts and in our home.

What It Means to Magnify God as a Family

Magnifying the Lord in everyday family life looks like intentionally pointing our attention back to Him. It’s choosing gratitude instead of complaint, prayer instead of panic, and trust instead of fear. When families worship together, we remind one another who God is and why He deserves our praise.

God invites us to exalt Him together because worship is meant to be shared. When parents and children lift their hearts to God side by side, faith becomes something lived out, not just talked about.

Worship That Shapes Our Home

A meaningful way to magnify Jesus this week is through worship. One powerful song to listen to as a family is “Christ Be Magnified” by Cory Asbury. The heart of this song is a simple prayer, that Jesus would be lifted high in every season, every circumstance, and every part of our lives.

Let worship set the atmosphere in your home. As Christ is magnified, worries shrink, peace grows, and unity deepens.

Scripture to Reflect On

Psalm 34:3“Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together!”

Read this verse together and talk about what it means to exalt Jesus not just with words, but with the way you live and love one another.

Lord, we magnify You in our lives and in our home. Our identity is found in You alone. We invite You into every decision and every plan this year. Help us grow closer to You day by day, and teach us to always put You first in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
