When We’re Looking for Direction

Every family faces moments where the next step feels unclear. Decisions, challenges, and questions about the future can leave us wondering which way to go. In those moments, Jesus speaks with clarity and love: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Jesus does not simply show us a path, He is the path. Following Him means we are never walking blindly or alone.

Jesus Is the Way We Follow

To say Jesus is “the way” means He leads us into a relationship with God and shows us how to live each day. For families, this looks like choosing His ways in our words, our attitudes, and our decisions. When we follow Jesus, we learn how to love one another well, forgive quickly, and walk with humility. Even when life feels complicated, His way brings clarity and peace.

Jesus Is the Truth We Trust

In a world filled with mixed messages and shifting values, Jesus stands as the unchanging truth. What He says is reliable, faithful, and good. Teaching our children to value truth begins with pointing them to Jesus. When families choose honesty, integrity, and faithfulness, they reflect the heart of Christ. Trusting Jesus as the truth helps us discern what really matters and keeps our lives grounded.

Jesus Is the Life We Receive

Jesus doesn’t just help us live better, He gives us true life. His presence fills our homes with hope, joy, and purpose. Through Him, we experience God’s grace, forgiveness, and renewing power. When families invite Jesus into everyday moments, mealtimes, conversations, and prayers, they begin to see how His life transforms ordinary days into meaningful ones.

Walking Together as a Family

Following Jesus is not meant to be done alone. God designed families to walk together, encouraging one another to trust Him more deeply. Simple practices like praying together, reading Scripture, and talking about how to follow Jesus in real-life situations help build a strong spiritual foundation. Each small step of obedience draws us closer to Him and to one another.

Choosing to Follow Jesus This Week

Faith grows through action. As a family, choosing one intentional way to follow Jesus, showing kindness, speaking truth, or trusting Him with a worry, can make a lasting impact. Over time, these choices shape hearts and homes that reflect His love.

Prayer

You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life in our lives and in our home. May we live in the fullness of Your blessings and Your guidance. Give us Your peace. Bless us with Your joy. Fill us with Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
